      Heather Bennett, Duke University, is an Associate Director of the Duke Annual Fund and Director of Parents and Young Alumni. She is responsible for overseeing all efforts in the Young Alumni Program, and directing the Duke Parents' Program for the Annual Fund. The Young Alumni Program is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of the 14 youngest undergraduate classes. It currently consists of student education, the senior gift campaign, Young Alumni Peer Networks in the four youngest undergraduate classes, 5th and 10th reunion campaigns, Young Alumni Development Councils, and leadership giving for Years 1-14.

      • Ms. Bennett has overseen the development and expansion of regional young alumni leadership councils, increases in young alumni leadership donors, set records for the 5th and 10th reunion campaigns, young alumni communications and participation, young alumni events, and the senior gift campaign achieving a record setting 69% participation in 2005.
      • As the Director of the Parents' Program, Heather oversees the #1 parents' program in the country. The Parents' Program raises unrestricted donations from non-alumni parents, and its success is driven by the efforts and generosity of the Parents' Committee which is comprised of 160 families. The program raised $4.6 million from non-alumni parents for the Duke Annual Fund in 2007-08.
      • Heather has worked with the Duke Annual Fund since 2000. In 2007-08, the Duke Annual Fund raised more than $26 million from over 44,000 alumni, parents, and friends. In 2008-09, the Annual Fund seeks to raise $27.85 million from 45,600 donors. Previously, Heather was the Director of Major Gifts at the Nicholas School of Environment and Earth Sciences and a Senior Prospect Researcher at Duke University.
