SPEAKER
Laura Schwartz is the Head Librarian of the Fine Arts Library at The University of Texas at Austin.
- She has worked as a professional librarian at UT Austin for 13 years. As Head Librarian, Ms. Schwartz provides leadership to the busiest and largest branch library in the University of Texas Libraries and oversees the day-to-day operations. She also serves as reference librarian and bibliographer for the visual arts.
- During December 2004 and January 2005, the Fine Arts Library underwent a major renovation of their 10,000 square foot reading room. Ms. Schwartz was the lead on this project
- Ms. Schwartz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego; a Masters of Library and Information Science from UT Austin; and a Masters of Arts in Art History from UT Austin.
