About The Speaker
Doug Ferguson is the Director of Alumni Programs for Delaware County Community College in Media, Pennsylvania.
Over the last four and a half years, he has overseen career mentoring programs, student scholarship fundraisers, assisting the Commencement planning team and an active Alumni Council.
Previously, Ferguson served as Vice President of Operations for the Association of Educational Publishers, a nonprofit organization serving the supplemental educational publishing industry both in the United States and points international.
He has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Public Administration from Widener University and has taken a break from attaining his Doctoral Certificate in Higher Education Leadership but plans to return to the classroom in the near future.
As a volunteer, Ferguson has previously been a member of his local Fire Company and served with the Open Ocean shark tank dive team at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey.
He recently joined the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Commission on Alumni Relations with representatives from the Universities of Rhode Island, Miami, Cambridge, Maryland and Spelman College amongst others.
