SPEAKER
Dr. John Schupp is currently the SERV Program Director at Cleveland State University and is a frequent presenter. His experience includes:
- SERV is a new program designed to assist military veterans with their transition from soldier to civilian to student. Dr. Schupp has assisted in the development of classes designed specifically for veterans to help them in that very important first year of college. In addition, support is provided for veterans who have taken college-level coursework previously at CSU or elsewhere.
- CSU's SERV Program was featured on "The American Veteran," co-produced by the VA Learning University and the Office of Public Affairs in partnership with VA's Employee Education System and other VA headquarters & field offices.
- His program won the inaugural ACE/Wal-Mart award this past November
- Veteran enrollment has increased 4x at CSU in the 3 years that his program has been running
- Dr. Schupp received his PhD in structural chemistry from Cleveland State University in 1993 and has been teaching since 1995.
