- Mr. Barnds' strategies achieved the most successful enrollment in the Augusta College's history and the two largest entering first-year classes. He improved the yield from 28% to 32% in one year and achieved a greater selectivity of accepted applicants, and created scholarship strategies to improve yield of students and increase net tuition revenue.
- Kent is a frequent speaker and has presented for the Conference of Lutheran College Enrollment Officers, Illinois Association for College Admissions Counseling (IACAC), and been a delegate for National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
