Ty Patterson serves as Director of The Center of Excellence for Tobacco Free Campus Policy at Ozarks Technical Community College (MO). Mr. Patterson led the effort to make Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) one of the first higher education institutions in the US to be 100% tobacco-free in 2003. Since then through workshops, webinars, presentations and consultations, he has helped institutions in Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin and Canada; learn how to make their campuses tobacco-free.
- In July 2008 he retired as Vice President of Student Services at OTC.
- He continues to serve part time as Director of The Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Campus Policy at OTC.
